- The Mac and Linux editions of Quake Live are rapidly approaching release, claims id Software's Marty Stratton. The game is a web-based version of id's first-person shooter, Quake III Arena, playable through browser software instead of a separate executable.
- Apple's boring hardware updates — Apple now seemingly considers most Mac hardware updates boring enough to skip any potential press event and just feature the new models on the Apple website for a while. Event-worthy Mac updates are now limited to entirely new products or major redesigns.
Quake Live For Linux
Quake Live supposedly runs in any web browser. Quake Live on Mac. I'm in the beta and its a pain that it doesnt run on Mac atm i havent heard anything about.

Think about it, they are NOT devoting resources to this game now beyond bug fixes. At one time there was a Mac port in the early QL dayz, but i think is was only a beta. Use bootcamp of other emulation software.
